DIY Carrot Electrolyte Spritz

When you sweat, you lose more than water—this refreshing combo helps replenish sodium, potassium + carbs to rehydrate naturally.

WHY THIS BLEND

Hydration + Sodium
Even a 1% decrease in water can reduce performance & increase muscle breakdown. On average we lose 2-3 liters of water not including exercise. When we sweat we losing both fluid + sodium. Coconut water & fresh juice provide fluid, while ¼ tsp salt adds roughly 575 mg of sodium to help replace sweat losses.

Potassium + Micronutrients
Both carrots + oranges are incredibly rich in potassium, a primary intracellular electrolyte. Potassium regulates fluid balance & dictates muscle contractions. Replenishing potassium levels after a hot run or sweat workout helps prevent muscle cramps.

Carbs for Recovery
After training, your body needs carbs to begin replenishing muscle glycogen. Carrots, orange + coconut water provide easily accessible carbs alongside fluid & electrolytes — making this an easy post-sweat recovery drink!
